With a beautiful art gallery and gift shop, Spiva Art Gallery is a spot you want to add to your to-do list. Spiva also hosts classes for all ages with different elements, like photography and painting.

Have you ever wanted to throw some clay? Crackpot Pottery & Art Studio provides drop-in classes, weekly classes, as well as 8 week sessions. They also host fun workshops like foil stained glass, jewelry making, and designing pottery.

We love going to Firehouse Pottery and exploring all the options to

paint. The pottery choices are from small ornaments to big display plates – the choices are endless! They also have seasonal items like snowmen and pumpkins. Your masterpiece will stay at the studio so they can put it in a kiln and pick up is about a week after your painting day.

Have you heard of the Empty Bowls event held at Phoenix Fired Art? It’s a wonderful event that lets you purchase a handmade ceramic bowl with a serving of soup to help raise money for charities providing food for those who are in need. This annual event is one you do not want to miss. Phoenix Fired Art also hosts classes and drop in sessions as well as project nights.

Even if you don’t have one artistic bone in your body, RSVPaint step by step instructions will have you painting like a pro! You can find themed nights to paint, like family night, seasonal paintings, and home decor.

Take a trip to MSSU Spiva Gallery to view their 325-foot exhibit. The exhibits are opened to the public Monday through Friday (Monday through Thursday in the summer).

You might have seen the artwork of Jorge Leyva Studio and not even known it. The bright red sculptures at the Joplin Public Library is just a sample of his talented work. Thankfully for us, Jorge encourages our community to come out and explore his garden of art, and studio.
